Clean and Green
Our inks are water-soluble. They contain less volatile organic compounds, are free from PVC and heavy metals, and clean-up easier post-production. There’s less waste. Our factory is cleaner; your merch is greener.

Our team
Inner City Ink is a close-knit collection of creatives, print professionals and artisans, many of whom have been together since 2012.
The company was founded by Natasha van Heerden in 2009 and quickly grew from a small creative brand to a service centre for other brands and likeminded individuals looking for the high-quality outcomes and necessary attention to detail that a hands-on, passionate and personally invested printing company offers.

Inner City Ink currently supports 22 households, with 37 children and 105 dependents. We’re a family and a working unit, taking on projects that challenge and excite us, and allow us to execute and grow our skills as Johannesburg’s premier water-based ink screen printer.
Home at Victoria Yards
Our factory has its home at Victoria Yards – a vibrant arts and culture precinct that caters for brands and companies with a distinctive local flavour and focus.
With a resonant history dating back to the early 1900s, Victoria Yards was re-envisioned as an urban development space offering studios, factories and retail outlets to artists and creatives – from ceramic and pottery workshops to garment manufactures, photographers, carpenters, bookbinders, and everything in between, including water-based ink printers.

Inner City Ink, whose ethos aligns perfectly with the values engendered by Vic Yards – skills fostering and artistic and community upskilling, is perfectly placed and happily ensconced in an eco-friendly environment, that includes urban agricultural gardens, and welcomes you to come and enjoy some time in our factory, and in our broader space, where homegrown magic happens.
