Hand-pulled
Screen printing
in water-based ink

Local and sustainable
Water-based ink is kinder to the environment and gives you the much loved soft-touch feel
Inner City Ink specialises in the artisanal screen printing of high-quality, locally sourced t-shirts and brandable items. Doing everything by hand gives us 100% control over print texture and quality, while our choice of non-toxic ink lets us create in a sustainable way.

Crafted with intent
We practise careful screen printing by hand and with intent. This gives us the opportunity to work and live in a mindful and empowered way, while growing as artisans and building the creative entrepreneurial community around us.
It’s all about getting that specific look and touch-feel exactly right

Mindful artisans
Hand printing in water-based ink gives us the opportunity to intentionally craft high-quality products taking pride in our process and product. As artisans, we grow by sharing our skills and knowledge.
Mindful artisans
Using non-toxic, water-based ink means we have less impact on the environment, while our dunk tank lets us completely eliminate poisonous chemicals from the cleaning process and enjoy a fume-free workshop.
Complete control
Doing everything by hand gives us 100% control over the quality of the end product. Depending on the texture you would like to achieve, our prints can be soft or robust to touch, with a faded or bright look.
Local & collaborative
We love collaboration with creative entrepreneurs and invite experimentation and innovation. Originality is a big thing for us and we are constantly on the lookout for new and innovative products and ideas. We only use local or African suppliers.

A trusted team
While we operate like a family, we believe in the personal and economic empowerment of an artisanal community.
Our core team has been working and growing alongside each other since 2012 – sharing personal and professional wins from day one. Although we’re a small group of 22, we support a larger family of 142 direct dependants.
Home at Victoria Yards
A fresh take on inner city development.
Victoria Yards is the space where we create. We share it with an eco-system of artisans and crafts people who value connection, collaboration and social development.

Visit this fresh space on the first Sunday of the month and grab a cup of freshly roasted coffee (highly recommended), the best fish and chips in Joburg, or listen to a local band. The Sannie Bonani Sweets Shop is another big treat and a great stop for gifts.
The yards also serve as a food garden providing food to residents in the area. It’s full of herbs and vegetables as well as indigenous and medicinal plants.
